| The beadwork you are looking at on this website is truly a work of art. I am a self taught bead artist inspired by my parents and my ancestors to produce designs from the past. My gift for color combining comes from viewing life through nature. Therefore, the beads I use are from Nature herself - glass, wood, natural stone, antique resins, gold, silver, copper and steel. I design pieces to represent three main ideas: a person's culture, history and spirit. The many colors and shapes of the beads represent imaginary communities of people living together culturally with a spiritual balance. Through my composition and color arrangements, I wish to show how all things are balanced. It would be perfect if the Creator's human creations could live together in harmony and peace; however I always put the odd bead in my work to show that nothing is perfect in this life except the Creator. |
